About

Let me start out by saying…I have no idea why I have a blog. I am not that cool guy who has a lot of good stuff to say and just needs an outlet. Nor am I someone who desires a spotlight of any kind. But, given the experiences I have had in life – both at work, at home and in my relationships, I have learned some things along the way.

Wisdom says that we are to learn from each other – whether it is through our triumphs or mistakes. So, my hope is to occasionally put some random thoughts (although not completely random) out there based on some things I have learned along the way and continue to learn as I go. I have some incredible voices speaking into my life and I don’t want to keep that wisdom to myself. Most times my ramblings are not original thoughts from me but how my mind processes the things I see and hear around me.

Here’s hoping you find something helpful…it’s been helpful to me, at least! If one person benefits from something I simply took the time to document and share, then that is a win!

So…here is a little bit about me.

I have been married to my incredible wife, Donna, since 1998 and have two amazing children – Aurora and Aidan. Our family also provides foster care in the Buffalo area and oftentimes have an addition or two to our family unit!

I grew up in the Buffalo area, spending most of my childhood in Depew, NY and Holland, NY. Since being married, we bought our first home in Tonawanda, NY, moved with my former employer to Chicago, IL and, presently, live in Williamsville, NY (some would say – the rough part of Williamsville…not really though, it’s kind of an inside joke).

I spent nearly 13 years in the banking industry until God led me to serve at The Chapel. I am the Executive Pastor at The Chapel in Getzville, NY and am thankful every day for the privilege of being able to serve with such an incredible team, to learn from strong, God-honoring leaders and to support a congregation of people who genuinely want to honor God with their lives. We take the mission of God to reach every man, woman and child with the gospel of Jesus seriously!

I could certainly go on…but if you would like more information, check out my profile on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/john.camardo/info
